FIVE WAYS TO HAVE A GREAT WEEK

Welcome to a new week! Yes, the weekend ran by as it always seems to do and we all wish that the brakes could be pulled but it is what it is. Back at the 9-to-5, the hustle and the grind.

Take a moment and consider a break in your norm. You really shouldn’t be starting off a new week with the negative energy that comes with being frustrated and creating mental stress for yourself ahead of the inevitable workload. While you are preparing your outfits for the week, you should also take note of certain things that will make the week go by faster to get you started positively.

Here are five amazing ways to make sure that you have a great week!

1. To-do list

The lack of organization is one of the major reasons why a lot of people feel easily frustrated during the week since it is so easy to get overwhelmed by last minute additions. Create a to-do list ahead of the week and be sure to include spaces for flexibility so that you are still in control of any and all changes. Being in control of your time and activities leaves you feeling fulfilled when you check off items on your to-do list. Having that sense of order gives you certainty of having an amazing week as well.

2. Early to bed, early to rise

This mantra has been in our conscious since we were toddlers but it could never have been more important than it is now. At this stage in our lives as workers, students and entrepreneurs, it is important that we get adequate amount of sleep. Not only does it relax nerves, it also helps our body repair itself while we rest so that we can wake up feeling bright and sharp. It goes without saying that waking up on the right side can literally make the whole day. So, you know what to do for a pleasant-feeling week.

3. Meal plans

Calm down, this is not about dieting (although, you should know that is pretty important too). Eating right helps your brain relax because your body is also at ease. When we get caught up in the workload or daily stress, we often skip meals and settle for whatever we find. To avoid that, come up with a flexible meal plan that will sustain you daily so that while working you are aware of what you should eat at a certain time thereby enhancing productivity. Also, we can all agree that food makes everything better, right?

4. Exercise

Hey! Stop cringing, we are not asking for 100 sit ups. A quick jog around the neighborhood, some warm-up reps, that’s it really. If you’re feeling up to it, you can also do some activities off our beginner’s routine. Basically, exercising after a day’s work helps unknot your muscles and aid sleep. Some exercises also aid digestion so, it is a win-win. Improve your lifestyle, one week at a time. Start exercising!

5. Social interactions

If you frowned after reading the subheading then darling, you need to finish reading this. Social interactions as draining as they may seem, are the crux of existence. Interacting doesn’t have to be verbal to be meaningful. Do something nice for that person you meet at the bus stop every day, share a joke with your colleague and be kind. In these seemingly little things, you exchange positive energy which means you get it back in double fold. What better way to have a great week?
