Also, eating as an healthy meal has been known to lower the risk of obesity, diabetes and heart disease. It helps you maintain the right amount of nutrients that your body requires to function excellently.

It also helps your body create a firewall against diseases by strengthening your immune system.

1. Eat enough protein!

    

A lot of people frown at the thought of including legumes and diary in their meals but Protein is actually very important to keep your body growing.

It is a vital nutrient in building and repairing muscles which will ensure that you reap the benefits of your workout routine.

Your daily source of protein can come from poultry such as eggs, chicken and turkey, red meat such as beef and lamb, fish such as tuna, legumes such as beans and lentils or diary such as milk and yogurt.

3. Increase your fruit and vegetable intake

  

Eat your greens! No, seriously.

Fruits and Veggies contain vitamins and minerals that your body really needs to function properly. They are also low in calories and fats so you don’t have to stress about gaining extra pounds on the side. You can also snack on dried fruits when you have munchies.

4. Choose healthy fats 

  

Greasy foods are comforting but burning them is truly excruciating -so stay away! Healthy unsaturated fats provide fatty acids that actually help you keep moving and they also provide you with the extra calories. Examples of these fats include avocados, nuts, oils etc

 

The right balance of your meal can prepare your body for the day’s activities and also help you on your journey in staying healthy and living your best life!
