Francesca Uriri is a successful Nigerian entrepreneur, Public and Communication expert and the founder of Leading Ladies Africa – A woman empowerment non-profit organization that celebrates the lives of African women and promotes leadership, diversity and gender inclusion.
She attended the Nigerian Navy school for her basic and secondary education. The University of Lagos for her Tertiary education where she graduated with a degree in English Literature.
Francesca is also a board member of Future Project which is an organization that builds empowered citizens across Africa, with a special focus on Leadership, Enterprise and Advocacy. They are also the organizers of one of Africa’s most prestigious awards ceremonies, The Future Awards Africa which identifies the brightest and best young Africans and deploys them as role models which inspires a generation of Africans to hope and to believe in their capacities to change their countries.
Francesca equips African women with the skills they need to succeed in life and business through effective mentoring, organizing capacity building events and showcasing the achievements of successful women to inspire others.
She has nearly 12 years experience in media strategy and management, perception management, image consulting, perception and crisis management, and event planning and management.
She has featured on The Guardian Woman, The Punch and Her Network.
As at 2018, Francesca served as the Head of Communication in West Africa for Uber, a transportation network company
