OSCARS 2019: Winners List

The 91st Annual Academy Awards took place yesterday, February 24th 2019 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California. The event was left without a host because Kevin Hart who was the meant to be the host of the ceremony initially, pulled out due to homophobic tweets he made in the past. Although, it was not felt most of the time since the event was packed with lots of beautiful performances and hilarious award presenters.

The Red Carpet featured, obviously, very stunning looks and surprises such as Kristen Ritters’ baby bump.

It was an emotional for a lot of celebrities who were first-time winners such as Olivia Colman, Rami Maleek, Regina King, Spike Lee, the whole of Marvel Studios, Lady Gaga and many others.

Speaking of Lady Gaga, she served the Oscars audience with a breathtaking duet alongside Bradley Cooper performing, the original song for the movie, ‘A Star is Born’.

Jennifer Hudson also left the crowd breathless not only with her voice but the outfit she stepped on stage with.

Another amazing moment was Melissa McCarthy and Brian Tierry Henry (who presented the award for Best Costume Design and filled the void of no host) stepping out in outstanding, over-the-top costumes from high rated movies. The category was initially being deliberated on if it should be part of the broadcast.

The audience will definitely not forget how Spike Lee jumped on Samuel L.Jackson on hearing his win for the Best Adapted Screenplay category, which earned him his first ever Oscars.
