PDP says Ogun State rejects APC

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has mocked President Buhari following the occurrence which took place yesterday, Monday 11th of February, 2019 at Ogun State’s presidential rally.

The crowd skewered and ridiculed the All Progressives Congress (APC) chairman, Adams Oshiomole when he tried to introduce the party’s gubernatorial candidate, Dapo Abiodun.

In accordance to a live broadcast on Channels Television, people were also hurling insults and throwing objects at Buhari while he addressed them.

The choice of Dapo Abiodun as the APC governorship candidate in Ogun State has been the main drive towards division in the state chapter of the ruling party.

The state Governor, Ibikunle Amosun has a feud with the party’s leadership following the rejection of his self-chosen candidate, Adekunle Akinlade.

The opposition party, in a statement which was issued on Twitter last night, said that the Ogun incident is a blatant sign that the people have ditched the ruling APC.

The PDP said “The public pelting & jeering at @MBuhari and his @OfficialAPCNg during his election campaign rally in Abeokuta, Ogun state, is a direct response by Nigerians to his 4 years misrule as depicted in the expansion of poverty, corruption, divisiveness & bloodletting in our nation.
