“We are on the same page with Atiku” -ASUU

Road to elections 2019 has significantly gotten feistier as the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and stakeholders in the educational sector are rallying around in support of presidential candidate, former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar

The Ogun state chapter of the union resolved to this decision, following a meeting with the PDP presidential campaign council and Otunba Gbenga Daniel, the former governor of the state.

“Atiku’s promise of restructuring the nation and provision of jobs for the unemployed are key to a nation’s development and the academia is ready to lend their weight behind the PDP candidate in order not to have a repeat of the 2015 scenario. We are on the same page with Atiku and whatever we do, we do it well“, one of the lecturers in attendance said.

Atiku Abubakar is the major contender to the incumbent president, Muhammadu Buhari, among the 71 other aspirants in the presidential race.
